The Power of Persistence Over Resistance

Writer: Vernon AVernon A

Are you letting the fear of rejection or hearing the word "no" stop your success?

Every time we introduce something new or unconventional, we're likely to face resistance. Why? Because new ideas challenge people’s perceptions and comfort zones. The fear of change is a constant and difficult obstacle. Rejection is just a knee-jerk reaction to the challenge of change. It's a way of saying, "I don’t understand; help me see it your way," or "I hear you, but I'm scared to step out of my comfort zone."

Embrace this challenge. Believe in yourself, your ideas, and the fact that people need what you are offering. Set aside your ego, your need to be right, or to be praised for your intelligence. Instead, focus on understanding the fear of those you're communicating with and helping them overcome it. People are telling you they need what you're offering, but they're used to their own way of thinking. It’s your responsibility to show them a new path. Be patient with your audience—whether they are students, clients, or friends—and they will eventually come around.

Remember, every "no" is just a step closer to a "yes." Embrace rejection as a part of the process and stay motivated. Each challenge you face is a stepping stone on your path to greatness. 🌟
